This month's Journal of Drugs in Dermatology has a study looking at data collected for the National Health and Wellness Survey (40,000 patients including 1127 psoriasis patients). Several conditions were more likely in those with psoriasis than controls including:
diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, congestive heart failure, anxiety, arthritis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, depression, gastroesophageal reflux, and insomnia. He's the usual disclaimer again: if you have moderate to severe psoriasis, you need a primary care physician who is really on top of all the increased risks you may face as a patient with this disease.
