Complete Disclosure to Avoid Disasters

If you drink, fess up. Alcohol and Methotrexate is a dangerous combination. Do you have psoriasis in a sensitive area, such as the genitals? Don't assume the cream given for your elbows and knees will be safe if used elsewhere. For areas such as the armpits, groin and under the breasts, strong steroid creams can cause side effects such as stretch marks and thinning of the skin (which can be permanent). Don't be embarrassed to speak with your doctor about this -- doctors have dealt with these concerns before and want to ensure that you are safe during treatment. If you need a treatment for a specific area, it's best to speak up.
